These terms govern how Stitch operates and how you can use our platform. We've written them to be as clear and human as possible.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the Stitch platform, mobile application, or any related services (collectively, the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the Service. These Terms apply to all visitors, users, and others who access or use the Service. Stitch Communities reserves the right to update or modify these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Service after any such changes constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms.

2. Description of Service

Stitch is a community-building platform designed to help people discover and attend in-person social events, connect with like-minded individuals, and build meaningful local communities. The Service includes: • A mobile and web application for discovering local events and activities • Tools for businesses and event spaces to promote their events to relevant audiences • Community features that match users based on shared interests and availability • A waitlist and early-access program for new users Stitch is currently in a pre-launch phase. Features and availability may change as we continue to develop the platform.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years of age to use the Service. By using Stitch, you represent and warrant that you are 18 years of age or older and have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms. If you are using the Service on behalf of a business or organization, you represent that you have the authority to bind that entity to these Terms, and "you" refers to both you individually and that entity.

4. User Accounts

When you create an account with Stitch, you agree to: • Provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration • Maintain and promptly update your account information • Keep your password secure and confidential • Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account • Accept responsibility for all activities that occur under your account Stitch reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, contain false information, or engage in behavior harmful to the community.

5. Community Standards & Acceptable Use

Stitch is built on the belief that genuine human connection matters. To protect our community, you agree not to: • Harass, bully, threaten, or intimidate other users • Post or share content that is hateful, discriminatory, or offensive • Impersonate any person or entity, or misrepresent your affiliation • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any regulations • Spam, solicit, or send unsolicited commercial messages to other users • Scrape, crawl, or extract data from the Service without written permission • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service or its systems • Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service Violations of these standards may result in immediate account suspension or termination.

6. Businesses & Event Spaces

Stitch welcomes partnerships with local businesses, venues, and event organizers. If you represent a business or event space using Stitch to promote events, you additionally agree to: • Provide accurate and truthful information about your events, including dates, times, locations, and descriptions • Ensure your events comply with all applicable local laws and regulations • Not use the platform to promote events that are illegal, discriminatory, or harmful • Respond promptly to inquiries from Stitch users who express interest in your events • Honor any commitments or offers made through the platform Stitch reserves the right to remove event listings or suspend business accounts that violate these standards or damage the trust of our community.

7. Privacy & Data

Your privacy matters to us. By using Stitch, you acknowledge that we collect and use your information as described in our Privacy Policy. Key points: • We collect information you provide (name, email, interests, location) to match you with relevant events and people • We do not sell your personal data to third parties • Location data is used only to surface nearby events and communities • You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting us at support@stitchcommunities.com We use industry-standard security measures to protect your data, but no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure.

8. Intellectual Property

The Stitch name, logo, platform design, and all content created by Stitch Communities are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from our content without express written permission. Content you submit to Stitch (such as event descriptions, photos, or profile information) remains yours. By submitting content, you grant Stitch a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to use, display, and distribute that content in connection with operating and promoting the Service.

9. Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. Stitch Communities does not warrant that: • The Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure • Any events listed on the platform will meet your expectations • Information provided by other users or businesses is accurate To the fullest extent permitted by law, Stitch Communities shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service, including but not limited to personal injury, property damage, or loss of data. Your use of the Service and attendance at any events discovered through Stitch is at your own risk.

10. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time. You may also delete your account by contacting us at support@stitchcommunities.com. Stitch Communities reserves the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms or is harmful to other users, us, third parties, or the community. Upon termination, your right to use the Service will immediately cease. Provisions of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination shall survive, including ownership provisions, warranty disclaimers, and limitations of liability.

11. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Wisconsin, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Service shall be resolved through binding arbitration in Stevens Point, Wisconsin, except that either party may seek injunctive or other equitable relief in any court of competent jurisdiction.
